Whole 30: Freezer Food Prep
It's Sunday! In our house, on most Sundays, it's all about cleaning and preparation. We like to get the kitchen back in order, fold some laundry, iron some work clothes... you get the idea.
Today, we've already mowed and trimmed the lawn.
However, with the Harvest Whole 30 kicking off tomorrow, I have some extra food prep to do this Sunday, and I was starting to feel overwhelmed. So, I did what I do best...
I made a list!
So, here's everything I'm going to do to prepare for Week 1 of the Whole 30.
Sunday (Day before Whole 30):
- Bake meatloaf muffins. I like this recipe - I use it for meatloaf muffins and for meatballs. Sometimes I change up the veggies chopped up in the mix.
- Hard boil 6 eggs
- Make beef vegetable stew and freeze in individual cups
- Wash + Cut celery
- Package snacks for the week
Monday (Day 1):
- Grill 6 lemon-herb chicken breasts. If you used this recipe for the marinade, they will need to marinate overnight. Freeze each breast individually.
- Bake 12 egg muffins. Package in freezer bags in pairs of 2
Tuesday (Day 2):
- Make and Freeze Sweet Potato Sausage Hash
- Optional: prepare riced cauliflower and freeze
That looks like a lot, right?!
It is.
If you'd rather do it all in one day, more power to you! Or, if you need to rearrange your meal plan to work with your schedule, that's fine too!
Stay tuned for some more recipes as we go through this Whole 30 adventure.
