Sunday: Outfit Prep
Happy Sunday, friends. I have been sporatically participating in the "Sunday Prep" phenomenon for the past year. This year, I'm determined to make it a regular part of my weekly routine. What better time to make an effort to change old habits than at the start of a new year?
Lots of people do prep day differently, but the goal is the same: to make their busy week ahead a little less stressful. I really only want to focus on one thing: what am I going to wear?!?!
This question plagues me every time I enter my closet. Not because I don't have any options - believe me, I have tons of options! - the problem is, I don't do well with spontaneous decisions.
As you can guess, not having a complete outfit ready and waiting for me, really cramps my morning routine. I've found that mornings go so much smotther when I don't have to stand in my closet scanning Pinterest for some last minute inspiration.
So now, I save outfits on Pinterest that consist of pieces I own (or items that are very similar). I also play on Polyvore when I find the time! Then on Sunday, I iron all those articles of clothing - maybe I should invest in a clothes hanger, and not a chair?
Then they go in my closet, ready for the week. I also make sure to include any other necessities, such as tights, slips, undershirts, etc. This makes it so easy in the mornings to just grab one of the hangers and be on my way.
You have to find what works for you to make your life easier - life always finds a way to get complicated. Simplify where you can.
