Friday Favorites: Master Bedrooms

I've started a "decorating bucket list" for this coming year - a host of projects and upcycles I'd like to complete to make our home just a touch more personal. First on my list is the master bedroom.

I'm nowhere near being ready to tackle this overwhelming task, so we'll just stick to daydreaming for now.

I've collected my favorite images of bedrooms from Houzz for inspiration.

1. I love the barn door in this bedroom. Also the ticking striped bedding.

2. The color palette, simple lamps and small gallery of photos in this room are classic and elegant.

3.I wonder if I could keep a plant alive in the bedroom? What a great way to introduce color with all the neutrals!

4. Bedding and pillows has always been hard for me to style - I never thought to fold the comforter like this to add dimension.

I love using the Houzz website because I can plug in specifics that match my room - wall color, floor type, etc. Pinterest is great for daydreaming, but I need to be able to make tweaks to my home in small ways - I don't need a complete overhaul. So being able to see inspiration photos similar to my own home is really helpful.
