Cleaning Supplies Shower Gift

There are so many festivities associated with weddings these days - engagement parties, showers, bachelorette parties, brunches, etc. Sometimes, by the time the shower rolls around, I am tired of getting gifts off of a couples' registry!

So here is a fun, practical gift that I've given at a couple of showers in the past year. This is a great solution if a) the couple doesn't have a registry, b) you can't afford to buy them something off their registry or c) you waited too long to order something off their registry!

This gift is a simple basket full of basic, household cleaning supplies that any couple starting out could make use of. The fun part is the little poem to go with it.

Here's a free printable, 5x7 version of the poem I used for one of the gift baskets. At smaller showers, I like to read the poem out loud, and hand the bride-to-be each gift as I go. Sometimes, the shower setting doesn't allow for that, so instead you can put this in the basket as a cute little card.

So here's your shopping list:

Honey (be creative if you like - honey sticks if your bride likes to drink tea, honey cough drops, etc.)

Pledge (wipes pictured above, choose whichever version you like)

Cheer laundry detergent

Solo brand paper plates or plastic cups

Joy liquid dish soap

Brawny paper towels

Mr. Clean (magic eraser, all-purpose cleaner, wipes, etc.)

Shout stain remover

Easy - Off oven cleaner

Tide detergent

Dial soap

Bounce dryer sheets

Zest soap

Bounty paper towels

Hefty bags

Hershey's Hugs & Kisses

Sparkle glass cleaner

basket or container: laundry basket, waste basket, mop bucket, etc.

I put numbers on my items so I could easily pull the items out as I read the poem. You could wrap them individually if you want to make the gift opening last longer.
